Who’s the smartest person in the room? Tough question, usually. There are lots of smart people, especially in the internet marketing space.

Who's the smartest person in the room? Tough question, usually. There are lots of smart people, especially in the internet marketing space. I have a quick solution for you: find whatever room Anna Talerico is in, and there's your answer. Or as my good friend Frank says, "Bob's your uncle." Seriously. I was considering the purchase of some online advertising recently, when I was "interrupted" by a webinar. (I actually had registered for it, but wasn't sure why). It was about landing pages.

Seriously.

I was considering the purchase of some online advertising recently, when I was "interrupted" by a webinar. (I actually had registered for it, but wasn't sure why). It was about landing pages.
You Don't Know what You Don't Know

Landing pages are one of those things you think you understand, until you are rudely awakened by a cold spash of truth. I didn't know Jack about landing pages. But I do know Anna.

The webinar was put on by ion interactive, a Boca-based firm that I was preparing to write about under the title: "The sharpest talent in Palm Beach County." Consider this post a subset.

Put Away Your Wallet. Step Away from the Checkout Counter

I came away from the webinar with what I found to be quite a startling conclusion: anyone would be pretty much an idiot to spend the first dime on search, PPC. tweaking your website, or anything else, for that matter, before talking to the folks at ion interactive.

Why so harsh? Because as I learned from the webinar, your landing pages are the most important pages on your site. More important, in fact, than even your home page. Who knew?

Well, it turns out Anna and her cohorts have known for some time now, and have been teaching some pretty big brands what they know, with some AMAZING RESULTS.
Introducing Post Click Marketing

I'm not sure, but I think ion interactive may have introduced this term to the online marketing world. If they did, they should have a copyright on it. Anyway, it's an amazingly concise term for what their flagship product, LiveBall, does. LiveBall has a little "r" in a circle by it, so they have that covered.

This review is not intended to be an in depth analysis of the platform. That would go way beyond the scope of an introduction. Besides, you should let ion interactive do that. They do a much better job than I ever could. Their site is loaded with white papers, case studies, and video to learn all about it.

It's all about conversions. Conversions are whatever you want your visitor to do, whether it's join a mailing list, request info, or even (gasp) buy.

LiveBall is SAAS, software as a service, which means there is no software to download, install, or maintain. Better still, they keep on improving it, and all the updates are rolled out to users immediately.

When you see the results generated by this platform, you're likely to be incredulous. Don't be. This is real, and these people are that good.

Head on over, and let them prove it. They are some of the best talent in Palm Beach County, or anywhere else, for that matter. Isn't it neat that they are our neighbors?

And don't spend another dime on advertising until you do.

  • Great site, I like it a lot!

  • Thanks for your kind words—I am blushing. As you already mentioned, our site does have a lot of great resources—from case studies to articles, and we blog regularly. Hope to 'see' you there!
